Description

A compact grapple that makes sense on a small loader

The Bear Jaws compact mini skid steer grapple gives homeowners, landscapers and property owners a practical way to grab branches, small logs and loose cleanup material without the bulk of a large grapple bucket. Its compact frame measures approximately 27.01 inches wide and 25.08 inches deep, helping keep the attachment and load close to the machine for maneuvering around yards, paths and landscaping work areas.

On a small loader, the attachment itself is part of the load. This compact design is a useful alternative to oversized grapples when maneuverability and keeping bulk down matter. Actual remaining payload depends on attachment weight, load position and the loader’s rated operating capacity; the compact size does not increase the machine’s rating.

Heavy-duty steel construction, protected cylinder placement

The welded steel frame, two fixed lower tines and hydraulic upper jaw provide a straightforward setup for picking up and controlling irregular material. The grapple cylinder sits behind the mounting plate, helping shield it from direct contact with branches and debris in front of the attachment. Route hoses carefully and check clearance throughout the lift and curl range.

Useful for everyday property cleanup

  • Gathering and carrying branches and brush
  • Handling small logs and irregular yard debris within the loader’s limits
  • Moving pruned material to a pile or trailer
  • Landscaping and general property maintenance

The open lower frame supports material while the upper jaw clamps it. It is a material-handling grapple, not a replacement for a digging bucket or a rated lifting device.

Dingo-style mini skid steer mount — check your setup

This grapple uses the standard mini skid steer universal / Dingo-style attachment interface. It is shown mounted on our Dig Master DM14 mini skid steer. Other machines need a matching mounting interface, adequate rated capacity and compatible auxiliary hydraulics.

  • Compare mounting plate shape, engagement points and locking-pin positions.
  • Check hydraulic coupler size and type, hose routing and full-range clearance.
  • Confirm attachment weight, load limits and required hydraulic pressure/flow before operating. No specific flow or pressure rating is stated here.

A Dingo-style mount is not the same as a full-size skid steer universal quick-attach plate. A similar-looking mount alone does not confirm fit. Send your machine model and mount/coupler photos through our contact page if you need help checking.
